COURSES

5K Race Course The 5K Run will begin at the Observation Tower and end at Dunker Church.
It is exactley a reverse of half of the 10K Race Course.  A map will be avilable for download prior to the race.

10K Race Course A rolling, out and back course on paved roads in picturesque, Antietam National Battlefield Park.
The race starts at the historic Dunker Church proceeding past the west Woods, The Cornfield, winding by
the Mumma farn to Bloody Lane, looping around the Observation Tower and returning to the Dunker Church,
via the same route. The roads are not closed during the race. Please keep watch for vehicle traffic.

Refreshments and numerous random prize drawings for all participants will be held following the race
with the awards ceremony beginning at approximately 10:00 am at Maryland Monument.

Results will be posted immediately following the race at the site of the awards ceremony and
available for download here 10 days after the event.

FACILITIES AND PARKING

Sani-pots are located near the start/finish line. Please do not use Visitor Center Rest Rooms.
You will be directed to parking near the registration area. Do not park in the Visitor's Centering parking lot which
is reserved for other park visitors.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Sleep Inn, located near battlefield just off I-70, exit 29, is offering a special discount rate of
$69.99 per night, plus tax. Make reservations by May 29, 2011. Call (301) 766-9449 and ask for

DIRECTIONS TO RACE

From points East or West, take I-70 to Hagerstown, Exit 29. Go South on Rt. 65 to Sharpsburg, MD. Antietam Battlefield is approximately 10 miles.

From points North or South. Take I-81 to I-70 East, then follow directions above.
