| Welcome to the
29th Annual Run Through History here at beautiful and historic
Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, Maryland.
On behalf of the Race Committee, APPLES for Children, and
Head Start of Washington County, we want to thank you for your support of
the above organizations and this great annual event. |

TIME Starting time is 8:30 a.m.
for both the 10K race and 2 mile Fun Run. Packet pick-up begins at 7:00
a.m. on June 1, 2008 in front of the Dunker Church, near the Visitor
Center. |

SETTING
The beautiful and historic Antietam National Battlefield
near Sharpsburg, Md. is the site for the 28th Annual Run Through History.
On September 17, 1862, one of the most important battles of the Civil War
took place here. It was the bloodiest day ever on American soil as over
23,000 casualties were recorded as killed, wounded or missing. |

FEE
$28.00 Mail-in registration should be postmarked by,
Wednesday May 28, 2008. $35.00 Race Day Registration. Beautiful Custom
Designed T - shirts will be given to all registrants. There will also be
numerous random prize drawings, delicious refreshment, following the race,
additional T-shirts and other race items can be purchased or ordered on
race day. Fee does not include admission to park services and

PROCEEDS
All
proceeds again benefit APPLES for Children, Inc, a non-profit organization
providing child care referral services, training and technical
assistance to local residents and agencies and Head Start of Washington
County. Head Start of Washington County was recently named one of
America's top Head Start Program.

FACILITIES - PARKING
Sani-pots
are located near the start/finish line. Please do not use Visitor Center
Rest Rooms. You will be directed to parking near the registration area. Do
not park in the Visitor's Center parking lot which is reserved for other
park visitors.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Sleep Inn, located near the battlefield just off
I-70,exit 29. Call 301.766.9449. Hotel features indoor heated
pool, fitness center and complementary continental breakfast. |

Awards Ceremony
Refreshments and random prize drawings for all
participants will be held following the race with the awards ceremony
beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. near the Start/Finish line. |

Results will be posted immediately following the race at
the site of the awards ceremony. For a individual copy, send a self
addressed stamped envelope to
