Welcome to the 31st Annual Run Through History here at beautiful and historic Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, Maryland. On behalf of the Race Committee and beneficiaries, APPLES for Children, and Head Start of Washington County, we want to thank you for your support of this great annual event.
Sunday June 6, 2010. Starting time is 8:30 a.m. for both the 10K race and 2 mile Fun Run. Packet pick-up begins at 7:00 a.m. on June 6, 2010 in front of the Dunker Church, near the Visitor Center.
 
The beautiful and historic Antietam National Battlefield near Sharpsburg, Md. is the site for the Annual Run Through History. On September 17, 1862, one of the most important battles of the Civil War took place here. It was the bloodiest day ever on American soil as over 23,000 casualties were recorded as killed, wounded or missing.

$28.00 Mail-in registration should be postmarked by, Wednesday May 26, 2010. $35.00 Race Day Registration. Beautiful Custom Designed T - shirts will be given to all registrants. There will also be numerous random prize drawings, delicious refreshment, following the race, additional T-shirts and other race items can be purchased or ordered on race day. All proceeds benefit APPLES for Children, Inc, a non-profit organization providing child care referral services, training and technical assistance to local residents and agencies and Head Start of Washington County, recently named one of America's top Head Start Programs.
 
Sani-pots are located near the start/finish line. Please do not use Visitor Center Rest Rooms. You will be directed to parking near the registration area. Do not park in the Visitor's Center parking lot which is reserved for other park visitors.
